For 20 years…

courageous Afghans stood with the US against the Taliban with the promise that we’d protect them. When the US withdrew from Afghanistan in August 2021, the Taliban swept through the country and seized control. Tens of thousands of Afghan Allies were left behind and are now being hunted by the Taliban.

But, together, we can be promise keepers to our Afghan Allies. EVAC exists to protect, evacuate, and resettle US-affiliated and at-risk Afghan Allies.

Our core team is a group of US-based American citizens and on-the-ground Afghans. Our Executive Director is Kathryn Chovanes.

In addition to our core team, we have the assistance of a prominent U.S. immigration law firm, US congressional offices, current and former military personnel, and members of local U.S. Afghan communities.

EVAC is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in the state of Indiana (EIN 87-3255396). All donations are tax-deductible.
