Saam’s Story
Saam was a combat interpreter for the US, putting his life on the line to protect US troops on multiple combat missions. He is under imminent Taliban threat. In 2021, The Taliban came to his home looking for him and killed his father, but Saam and his wife were able to escape. Saam gives EVAC vital help while still in hiding.
The family consists of Saam and Nazemah.
The Evacuation Mission
We desperately need your help. For 18 months, we've kept Saam and his family safe, but they're not free. Now, finally, we can get them out. We've made logistical and legal arrangements to transport this family from Afghanistan, through Pakistan, and ultimately resettle them in Brazil.
Everything is in place – everything except the money to fund this operation. The operation costs $20,000, which will result in this family living full lives in safety. We have until March 15th, and we need you. If we fall short of our goal, Saam and his wife will be stuck, and the most likely outcome is eventual Taliban capture and death.
